All Anamal students work during class towards two Company performances per year
held in local theatres. Our last performance ‘EVOLUTION...’ was a 3 show run
at the Floral Pavilion Theatre, New Brighton.
In addition to our own productions, Anamal have performed on fantastic stages
including
Liverpool’s Echo Arena alongside an array of celebrities including
former Spice Girl, Mel C.
Anamal are the official dancers for Wirral’s Buzz Radio Station and
Tranmere
Rovers football Club. Our students enjoy the opportunity of performing at club
matches throughout the football season and are often involved in events with
Wirral’s Buzz including the
Pop Factory tour, where students performed alongside
X-factor finalists Ruth Lorenzo and Diana Vickers.
Other opportunities include annual trips to perform in London’s West-end in one
of the top theatres the capital has to offer. Our last trip saw our students
tread the boards at ‘Her Majesty’s Theatre’, home of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.
For students showing particular skill, there are company teams. Teams compete
regionally and nationally and each year participate at the World Street Dance
Championships.
Our teams have competed at Liverpool Empire’s ‘Dance-Mania’ Competition,
for which we were the reigning champions two years running. At the last event in 2009 we
performed demonstration routines, where the audience were
treated to our award-winning 'Cirque' routine, our award-winning Youngstarz team
and a Michael and Janet Jackson tribute.
